How do i get the sound to work while recording a video for my sony cybershot camera DSC-S700?

I just bought the camera around a week ago, and it says that it plays back sound when recording but i dont know how to get it to work. i already looked at the troubleshooting but it doesnt help at all.

have you turned on your volume on your camera? because in the camera menu you can set the volume for the shutter sound, videos and etc.
