Is there a place for my digital camera memory card to plug into my computer?
I have an Olympus D-390 digital camera and was wondering if there's any way I can plug the memory card into my computer to get my pictures from the camera onto the computer? Do I need special software, or can I just get the pictures I want and save them to my computer? Thanks in advance.
no way that i could tell you if your computer has a card reader or not, you just have to look. if there aren't a bunch of card slots somewhere on the front of your computer, then you probably don't have one. you can buy a card reader from the store that will plug into your USB ports, that would be one option, but i have a better one.
Just use a USB cable. I have an Olympus Stylus 300 and every other camera i have owned all operated the same way. somewhere on your camera is an opening for a mini USB cable. on mine,it's inside the memory card door on the right side. just plug a cable in there, then into the computer. windows should recognize it almost immediately and ask you if you want to import your photos, or you can manually go into the files like any removable storage device. no extra software needed.
