why doesn't my card reader work? (Acer Aspire Notebook)?
I've recently wiped my hdd and installed windows 7 professional 64-bit. Now the sd card reader aint working, ie it appears windows isn't seeing it. There doesn't seem to be any drivers for this laptop (Acer Aspire 5630) on acer's website that supports windows 7. Any1 know how to get it working again? Also the media buttons, volume, play, pause, stop etc on the laptop aren't working, I'm assuming its the same problem.
Try downloading the Card reader software from the Acer driver download and make the software run in compatibility with Vista and see if that works, for the Media buttons you will have to wait and see if Acer releases a software for it or just give it some time and soon it will start working, ive got an Acer as well and did a clean install to windows7 home premium and the media button volume buttons are not working quest well but they do work bu not how i expected them to
