how to check my computer cpu and vga temp. and how can i control my fan speed?
i have a system as follows
xfx 750i
core 2 duo e7400@2.8
2x2=4 gb of ram
xfx 9800gt
500watt power
320 hard drive
how can i check the temperature of my cpu and vga on windows while performing other tasks (not in bios) and is there any way to control the fan speed for cpu and vga on windows???
Further inform me that what is the critical temperature for vga and cpu i.e the point from which i should not exceed
the room temp. some time reaches to 40C+ in june and july (have no air conditining)

HWMonitor is a great standalone program from CPUID. It monitors all important temps associated with your computer (CPU, GPU, HDD, etc..)

As for controlling fan speeds, NVidia makes a program called NTune that will allow you to control at least the VGA fan speeds manually:
