Choosing A Laptop: Windows Laptop Or Macintosh Powerbook
Are you ready to purchase your first laptop, or a new one to replace your old one? Today we are going to compare the Windows laptop versus the Powerbook by Macintosh. The comparisons between the two will hopefully make the decision process easier for you during your next purchase.
Windows Laptops
The Windows Laptop brings you a variety of options some on the high-end and some of the laptops are ultra light. One of the high-end computers is the portable computers or laptops. You can find laptops in a wide selection of screen sizes from 10 inch screen all the way up to 17+ inches. They also provide you with faster processors and that maximum storage capacity. Now the newer laptops that they are coming out with are not as heavy as they once were. They now weigh in at around 7-8 Lbs. and contain DVD/CD drives, to enhance you entertainment experience. If you are working with limited funds but still need purchasing a laptop that will work for you and most customers is a mid-range style, mid-range style laptops tend to have a little slower processing speed then the high-end laptops but they will work well for what you may need it for. Lastly, the ultra light laptops have some great advantages but are also cost more than the previous styles. The ultra light models have the smallest display and they weigh less than 5 Lbs. It is difficult to expand on the media and other capabilities due to their small size. Their small size makes it easier to transport in your backpack or briefcase and the battery life will last longer due to their size.
Macintosh Powerbook
Apple is the creator of the Mac Powerbook. There laptops are geared towards those in professional and educational field. When you visit most college computer labs then this is the computer of choice. Powered by an Intel Core Duo Processor, they also feature displays ranging from 10 inch to 17+ inch displays. The Powerbook also has an interesting feature that the windows laptops do not feature this is a magnetic energy connector known as a Magsafe. In the older versions of the Apple computers the plug when yanked it would easily be broken off, so the newer Mac computers have the Magsafe power adapter is the power connector which can be found in the MacBook and the MacBook Pro use. The Magsafe is held in place by a little magnet inside the PC. Some of the additional accessories that you will find on the Macintosh Powerbooks are TV output adapters, external USB modem and much more. In terms of costs there are three configurations (listed from most to least expensive):
• 17 inch design 2.16 GHz
• 15.4 inch design 2.16 GHz
• 15.4-inch design at 2.0 GHz
