Should I buy this memory card for my Canon 450D?

How many photos will it roughly hold and is it a good price?

The Sandisk Extreme III is an excellent card...however, this 30mb/sec 16GB version is probably overkill for the 450D. I would instead recommend the regular Extreme III SDHC card. It's plenty fast enough for the 450D (and it's continuous shooting) and is also cheaper and also available to buy with a micromate card reader, whereas the card you have linked, does not come with a reader (which you will need if you want to transfer your files). It's actually much faster to use a card reader, rather than direct camera to computer connection.

Also, 16MB is a very large capacity...much larger than you really need for general day to day use. It's best to always transfer your images at the end of a day's shooting, so I doubt if you would really need 16MB capacity. A 4GB to 8GB card might be more practical.

Each 4GB of capacity will allow you to shoot approx...
920 high quality Jpegs or
240 RAW images or
198 RAW + Jpeg images

So, do you think you would really need 16MB?

p.s don't forget to always Format a brand new card before use and everytime you want to delete all files from it.

Have you ever accidentally sat on your phone, camera, MP3 player, or other portable electronic device? There’s a possibility that you broke something. With the Olympus TOUGH TG-810, apparently you don’t have to worry as much about that kind of thing.
