How to get pics off of broken memory stick?
When I pushed the memory stick into the card reader it bent a little and the plastic cracked just a little. The tech at Walmart said that it looks like the metal contacts are all in place but nothing will read the memory stick. Help!
The best you can do is try to straighten it and get the contacts to work again. If they won't, they won't, and there's nothing you can do about it short of shipping it to a recovery expert. Their fees generally start at around $500, as they'd have to disassemble the stick and hand micro-solder it to a new carrier, a complex and tedious job.
