With the use of an additional memory card you can store more pictures and videos with your digital camera or digital camcorder. Most cameras and camcorders come with inbuilt storage memory that is small in size and truly do not fulfill any ones storage needs. Many people often ask what is the perfect size memory unit to purchase for there digital camera as there are so many storage sizes available. Find out what memory sticks are compatible with your digital camera.
Before going off and purchasing any old memory card you will need to determine what type of memory card your camera is compatible with. SD and memory stick memory cards are most commonly used on most brands of camera while xd iterations are usually exclusive to Fuji and Olympus branded cameras. If you have a digital camera or camcorder branded by Fuji or Olympus you will find your storage capacities somewhat limited as the biggest card available at the Monet is only capable of storing 2gb worth of data while memory stick and SD cards can hold a lot more.
Finding the right size for your needs.
The average size of a memory size is widely known to be 1gb. This size although not tremendously large, still allows you to store a descent amount of photos and short videos. Other factors have to be taking into consideration when choosing the right sized memory. These include:

Brand of memory sticks
The most reliable and affordable brand of memory on the market are those by Sandisk. Although this is not always the case, I personally find there products reliable as well as affordable compared to other name brands. As with most leading manufacturers there products come with an included warranty which is also a plus point in my view. Beware of imitation copies of memory card on the market, these cards are unreliable as well as illegal and i advice to stay clear from them.
