Do you need to buy the 100 dollar wireless adaptor to play Xbox LIVE on the 360?
I was thinking about getting a used 360, or even a new one for hard-drive issues...but (used) 170+70+60 is 300 dollars, the same price as the Pro console. If the adapter isn't needed, then I see little difference in the 60 dollars. Theoretically, the leftover 60 dollars (for used) would just go for Live. So, do I need the wireless adapter (about 100 dollars or 70 used) or am I fine without it? (So long as I pay the yearly fee)
well, it all depends if you have a Ethernet wire long enough to reach your router. If you have a Ethernet wire thats long enough, then no you don't need the wireless adapter. If you have a wire long enough but dont want it going through your house or if you think it looks "ugly" then get the wireless adapter. I use it and it works great. It has long range and everything. I use it because i dont want to drill holes through my ground so i can get the wire to my router. If you dont have a wire long enough and dont mind it going through your house, then you can get a good cheap one and you might still have enough money to get the live which is what i would do if i were you.
