Why is my Extreme III memory card too small for my DigiRebel XTi?
I got a 2.0 GB San Disk ExtremeIII for my xti Rebel and it seems too small to fit the camera. WTH am I doing wrong? I thought I was getting a good memory card and its just loosly floating around inside the camera. ahem So is the I & II disk size larger? Thank you!
The sandisk compact flash extreme III is the same size as the extreme II I use both CF cards in my D300. As pooky says there are type I and type II CF cards The only difference between the two types is that the Type II devices are 5 mm thick while Type I devices are 3.3 mm thick. Most of the l Type II devices are Microdrives and other miniature hard drives The D300 uses both type I and tyoe II so the canon probably does also.
I also use sandisk SD cards in the same models in my D40 and they work. so make sure you have the style of card. Now sandisk does also make a microSD™ that is really designed for things like cell phones and it needs an adapter for fit an SD slot

The Virtualization is considered to be the only storage device at the server end, whereas the virtualization is seen as their sole server by each storage device. Hence, this helps to group the storage systems easily and also devices from many sources in layers of storage. It is possible for the user to exchange the tape or disk drives conveniently and this happens due to the fact that the applications and servers are protected from any change to storage device by the layer . At the storage virtualization layer, the information copying services are also effectively managed. Thus, this implies that the data recovery can be easily done by virtualization system at the time of disasters. As the information can be moved at users will, the information that is not used often or any out-of-date information can be moved to inexpensive storage devices. The storage virtualization can planned in three ways: - Host Based: The conventional device drivers maintain the physical drives and the software that is above the device driver interrupts I/O requests, sees the metadata and diverts I/O. - Storage Device based: Here the storage virtualization is in-built in storage fabric. In this type of arrangement, the system provides duplication and relocation services across different controllers. - Network based: Here the storage virtualization is arranged to form a network based device. This arrangement usually uses Fiber Channel Networks related as a SAN. The computer experts consider all three set-ups to work efficiently. But, the Virtualization endorses cross-vendor storage operation, helping you to manage in several vendor sources. However, you are held in particular source by majority of arrangements.
