Why do I get static playing back audio on my computer when the HD is accessed?
I have plenty of memory and processor still unutilized, so it's not the processing load. The sound card has an IRQ all to itself. But you can sit and listen to an mp3 play back and watch the HD light flicker, corresponding directly to the static. 10k SATA drives, Pentium D 3.0 GHz - I think I should be able to play back an mp3. It's a configuration problem I can't figure out.
try using foobar...it caches the mp3s b4 playing...
