How Many Pics Can You Take With 2 Gb SD Memory Card?

Hello I was wondering if anyone out there has used a 2 gb card for their digital camera and if so how many pics can you take with 2 gb?
My camera has 6.1 megapixels
On Picture size it was set for 6.1 MP so I set it to 3.1MP will this help you get more pics by setting this to 3.1 MP on Picture size and will it effect the picture setting it to 3.1 MP
There is also a 1.7 mp setting which would be the best to go with on picture size 3.1 mp or 1.7 mp

uh my new camera is 8mp and it can hold close to 900 pics on a 2gb sd card
so yours is probably going to be close to 1500 i am thinking
you should leave the pixels on 6.1 because the quality of the pictures come of better
the higher the mp the better the quality
