How can I fix my smart media card after formatting in PC, so it can still work in my Olympus camera?
1- I have an Olympus camedia camera, and I´ve botched up the smart media card by formatting it on my PC, it´s a 64 mB card, I have the HEX editing program, and the driver ( I believe they´re called Smart Prep files), the question is do I do the editing inside de card or do I use the PC and then move the files to the card. I do it the way that I´ve been instructed to do and keep getting an error message.
I don't have this particular camera, but you should be able to format the card via the cameral itself. Under normal circumstances, you would download the files from the camera/card to the PC then edit them. The software that came with the camera should allow download/transfer of the files to a specified folder on the pc. If not, you should be able to move them (cut and paste) or copied. If this doesn't do it for you, try and find a local cameral shop... most have gone digital, and they can probably help you. Good luck.
