How to wire a brushless electronic speed Controller to a brushed motor? R/C helicopter?
I have a walkera 22e and I bought a mystery brushless motor that won't work but it came with a ECS also,so I was wandering if anyone knew how to wire this and if you would know how this would work out for me?Or should I just order the right brushless motor? (future) THANKS
You should order the right motor. You hook up the motor and battery to the speed controller and then plug it into the throttle slot on your receiver. You should see on one side of the ESC a red and black wire, that goes to the motor. On the other side should be a similar red and black wire, that goes to the battery, and a (3) wire bundle bundle that plugs into the throttle slot of the receiver. If you are rigging it up yourself, make sure you buy a male/female plug combo from your local hobby shop to connect the battery to the ESC. DO NOT HARD WIRE THEM TOGETHER. Hook the female plug up to the battery and the male upto the ESC. But, you should just go and order the right motor. The heli is designed for that specific motor for weight and CG balancing. The new motor will weight differently and the ESC will throw off the CG and may make the bird unstable.
