Why does my memory speed not show up on my computer?
I have a 8gb RAM memory installed in my computer and it only reads only 2.4gb, I have win7 32bit,
i go to my properties and it says 8GB(2.49GB Usable) how can i fix this?
A 32-bit operating system can only address up to 4 GB of RAM. There is no way around this. If you want to use more than that, you need to install a 64-bit operating system (and be running on a 64-bit processor, of course).
The reason you don't get quite 4 GB out of it is that some of the address space is taken up by video memory and other hardware mappings.
