What's the difference between a Xbox 360 memory card and harddrive?
Is there a difference between the Xbox 360 memory card and hard drive? They're to different products, so I assumed that they have different advantages and disadvantages. Can anyone tell me which would be a better one to buy for a xbox beginner like me?
The xbox 360 memory card is a flash drive. It attaches to the 360 via an usb slot located under (or to the right of, depending on how you have your 360 posistioned) the power button. On the other hand, the harddrive (ill call it the hdd from now on) is located on the top of (or on the far left) of the 360. both devices are removable, although it is recomended not to remove the hdd since it increases its chances of being broken. furthermore, the memory card does not hold as much as the hdd. the hdd allows you to store movies, songs, pictures, game saves, and xbox live downloads. overall, the hdd is the better buy. if you purchase the memory card, you'll be disappointed with how little you can hold.
